Four Steps To Death

Four Steps To Death is written by John Wilson.

I picked this book because I had heard it was a good book because of our Literature Circles. Most of the people reading this book said it was very good, so I decided to read this book.

This book is about two young men in the army. One is Russian, and one is German. They are both fighting against each other to try to save or destroy Stalingrad.

Vasily is russian and he is a machine gunner is his platoon. He is very quite most of the time.
Conrad is German and he is assigned to a tank with other people. He is also quite, but also a thinker.
Sergei is a cop, but from what I have read and heard, he is a boy when Vasily, and Conrad are fighting, then at the beginning of the book, he is old and at the war torn city of Stalingrad.
So far the book is very interesting, and very action packed.

We All Fall Down

I have just started to read the book called We All Fall Down. It is about the twin towers and how a kid named Will goes with his father to the World Trade Center to be in a co-op for school. The day of this book s based on 9/11, and how a kid and his father must bond to survive.

So far I have only read the first two and a bit chapters. In the chapters I have read, Will and his friend James have been introduced. They are just starting highschool. The first class that they have is history and they learn the history of "Ring Around the Rosie"

Then we learn that Will is going with his father to the World Trade buildings and James is being with his fire fighting father.

In the first part of the third chapter, Will is in his fathers car, and they are heading to the World Trade Centre. They arrive there, and that is as far as I have go.

All in all, the book is really good from what I have read so far.

My Room

My room is always a mess even though sometimes you cannot see it. When it gets "cleaned," it is only the floor, but under my bed has a bunch of stuff under it like pop cans, ship bags, clothes, broken and taken apart radios and remote control cars. When the cleaning is done, everything always gets moved, so I can never find anything. Since there are bees on the outside corner of my house, bees and wasps have been getting into my room. In total, my family has killed about 8 bees/ wasps in my room, and used a full can of wasp killer in my room. They sprayed it twice, and I am sure that more bugs are coming in.

Characters in my Family

The first person i think of when I think of my family is my dad. Even though I don't see him much, I still love him. He works 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. almost every week. I usually get him up at 5 p.m. and then he leaves at 6:20. When he gets home, he usually goes to bed.

Then my mom comes to mind. She works a lot, but I see her a lot too. When she gets home, she tells me about her day and I tell her about mine.

Then comes my brother, Dave. Yes, "Farmer Dave." He usually doesn't bug me but when he does it usually hurts.

The my sister Viki. We usually fight a lot too. Her an my brother sometimes gang up on me, but my parents are usually aware when this happens.

All in all, my family is awesome, and they rock, and I never want to change them.

Disadvantages and Advantages of my Name

My names is Gerrit Norris and I am going to write about my name and its advantages and disadvantages. The first and only advantage is that it carries a family tradition of having your son or grandson named Gerrit. The main disadvantage of my name is that it is foreign, so it is pronounced really weird. It is pronounced with a heavy "h" when said in Dutch. It is pronounced "Herrit" with flem on the "h." This name originated from Holland, so I understand why it is odd. Even though my names is odd, I still like it, and I will probably not change it.
